What is Story? Is it simply a narrative? Or is it about following a character and the decisions he or she makes and the consequences thereof. Or is Story really defined by plot, by the action that characters make happen? Or is Story really a reflection of place and the possibilities that place offers? There are many ways to break down Story which can be analyzed from myriad perspectives. But when you break it down, aren’t you losing its essence? Can it really be assembled from mere parts? Story is more than just characters thrown in a plot, in a particular place told through the perspective of a narrator. Story has more than that: it has sparkle. It ignites a fire.
